FIA Sub Inspector Past Papers

Post Past Papers520 questionsPage 10/52

Sub Inspector is the entry point for many investigative careers in the agency. This page collects 520 published questions from eight papers: four papers from the 2018 recruitment, including two group papers that carry the OTS label, the 2020 Cyber Crime Wing paper, and three short papers held on 13, 15 and 21 December 2021. The 2021 papers are partial transcriptions of twenty to forty questions each.

For the general Sub Inspector papers, Islamic Studies, English and Pakistan Studies are the three largest subjects, each with over a hundred questions across the set, followed by Geography, Everyday Science and General Knowledge. The Cyber Crime Wing paper is a different animal: almost entirely Computer Science and Computer Networks, with questions on hardware, operating systems, topologies and security. Candidates should check which wing they are applying to before choosing a paper to practise, since the two syllabi barely overlap.

Zakat and Ushr were started under which constitution of Pakistan?

Correct answer: D

A
1973
B
1956
C
1962
D
None of these
Correct
Explanation and memory cue

Zakat and Ushr were not started under any of the constitutions of Pakistan (1956, 1962, or 1973). Instead, they were formally institutionalized through the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance of 1980. The 1973 Constitution of Pakistan includes Islamic provisions but does not specifically start Zakat and Ushr as constitutional provisions. Later, the 18th Amendment in 2010 devolved the Ministry of Zakat and Ushr to the provinces, allowing provincial legislation and administration. Therefore, none of the listed constitutions started Zakat and Ushr as constitutional provisions, making 'None of these' the correct answer.

Correct answer: B

A
20 Goats
B

Correct
C

D

According to Islamic jurisprudence, the nisab (minimum threshold) for zakat on goats (and sheep) is 40 animals. There is no zakat due if one owns fewer than 40 goats. Once the number reaches 40, zakat becomes obligatory, and the owner must give 1 goat as zakat for 40 to 120 goats owned. The zakat amount increases with the number of goats owned, but the minimum number for zakat obligation (nisab) is 40 goats.
