Israeli Government
How many members are required in the Knesset (Israel’s assembly) to form a government?
Explanation and memory cue
The Knesset has 120 members, and to form a government, a coalition must have the support of at least 61 members, which is a majority. This majority is required to approve the cabinet and give the prime minister the confidence to govern. Since 61 is the minimum majority, and option A is 60 (closest to 61), the question options should be corrected to include 61 as the correct answer. However, since 61 is not an option, the closest correct majority is 60, but technically the majority is 61 members.
