How many Urdu words are used in the National Anthem of Pakistan?
Explanation and memory cue
The National Anthem of Pakistan is written in a highly Persianized and Arabicized form of Urdu. It contains very few words of native Urdu origin. The only clear Urdu words identified are two adjectives: 'پائندہ' (painda, meaning 'everlasting') and 'تابندہ' (tabinda, meaning 'shining'). The rest of the words are primarily borrowed from Persian and Arabic. Therefore, the anthem contains two Urdu words, making option D (2) correct.
