FIA Act

The FIA Act stands for the Federal Investigation Agency Act, which governs the Federal Investigation Agency in Pakistan responsible for investigating crimes related to national security, terrorism, and other federal offenses.

A police station includes any place declared as a police station, whether it is a general police station or a special police station. Therefore, both general and special police stations are included in the definition.

The terms and conditions of the services of the Director General FIA are typically provided in the rules governing the Federal Investigation Agency, as per the FIA Act and related regulations. This ensures clarity and legal backing for the appointment and service conditions.

Under the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Act 1974, the agency's prosecution authority includes legal officers such as Assistant Director Legal and Deputy Director Law. The Deputy Director Law generally oversees prosecution work and represents the FIA in courts, while the Assistant Director Legal is a senior legal officer rank.
