According to Islamic tradition, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was taught the proper way to perform Salat (prayer) and ablution (wudu) by the Angel Jibrail (Gabriel). This is a well-established belief in Islamic teachings.

The earliest systematic compilation of Hadith is credited to Imam Malik ibn Anas, who compiled Al-Muwatta in the mid-second century AH (around 179 AH/795 CE). This work is considered the first major effort to collect and organize Hadith alongside the practices of the people of Medina. Historical Islamic sources indicate that after the Battle of Badr, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) consulted his companions about the fate of the prisoners. Hazrat Abu Bakr suggested that the prisoners be released upon payment of ransom, emphasizing mercy and the potential for their future acceptance of Islam. Hazrat Umar Farooq, on the other hand, suggested that the prisoners be executed. The Prophet (P.B.U.H) accepted the suggestion of Hazrat Abu Bakr and released the prisoners on ransom. Therefore, the release of the prisoners was on the suggestion of Hazrat Abu Bakr, not Hazrat Umar Farooq.
